Climate Change: March to Halifax Town Hall

The HebWeb has received the following message from Calderdale Green New Deal and Calderdale Extinction Rebellion :
Dear friends,
Calderdale Council declared a climate emergency on 30 January 2019.
Three years on…. still no sign of a Climate Action Plan.
Like other authorities, Calderdale commissioned a consultancy firm to produce an Emissions Reduction Pathway report which was made public last May. There are some gaps in it but it clearly outlines the urgent action the Council needs to take.
Since then? Nada. It seems to be business as usual.
It's time to hurry them up!

Town Hall, Crossley Street, Halifax
Or join us at Halifax train station at 11.37 to march to the Town Hall. Some will take the train from Todmorden at 11:19 am - to be in Halifax by 11:37.

We'll not be doing anything 'edgy'. Just calling for the Council to start delivering on their promises. Please come along to show your support.
