An evening in Ted Hughes' house

Tuesday, 18 October 2022

The Elmet Trust presents:
Kenneth Steven:
An evening in Ted Hughes' house
Thursday, 3 November 2022, 7.30-9.30pm

Kenneth Steven is a poet of the wildscape.

His work is deeply rooted in the western Islands and Perthshire highlands of Scotland, dealing with their people and their past.

He confesses to having been influenced profoundly by Ted Hughes, and his writings on nature and on myth. Like Hughes, he is also a children's author and frequent broadcaster on BBC Radio.

In this unique and special event, Kenneth will be reading from and discussing his work in the intimate setting of the Hughes family's living room, in 1, Aspinall Street, Mytholmroyd.

This small, cosy venue can accommodate only 10 in-person guests, for a remarkable live experience (£20/ticket, including wine and cheeseboard).

It will also be livestreamed (£4/ticket), so you can share in the evening from your own living room.
