The Autumn Season of gigs at Wadsworth Community Centre includes Kathryn Tickell and Ashley Hutchings and the opener, contemporary acoustic roots duo, Gilmore & Roberts. They combine award-winning songwriting with astounding musicianship and their trademark harmonies to create a lasting connection with their audience.

Nominated three times at the BBC Folk Awards, Katriona (fiddle, mandolin) and Jamie (guitar) have released six albums, toured Europe and Canada, played some of the UK's biggest festivals, toured with legends Fairport Convention, and won countless accolades for their genre-spanning work.

Drawing inspiration from fascinating stories, both personal and historical, Gilmore & Roberts present their songs through an ever-changing kaleidoscope of genres from rock to Americana, through a powerful wall of sound down to the most intimate pin-drop moments.

'Gilmore & Roberts take English folk and scuff it up with indie rock drama' – Q Magazine

'Capable of making you dance, cry and think…a masterclass in songwriting and a lesson in how to present songs' – Folk Radio UK

Opening the evening is Huddersfield's Johnny Campbell, a familiar performer on the UK folk scene. Johnny writes self-penned material and delves deep into Northern English folk song and story. Alongside his music-making, Campbell's knowledge of radical histories, landscape and geography have earned him a freelance writing role with Britain's most popular walking magazine, 'Country Walking.'

''Nobody else seems to be doing what Campbell is doing right now, and his passion and determination deserve recognition'' - Jon Wilks

''A Modern-Day Billy Bragg'' – Tradfolk
