It is a bit of a coup. Ashley Hutchings, a founding member of the influential Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and the Albion Band plus countless other ensembles plays Wadsworth Community Centre. 'The Guv'nor' counts Bob Dylan as a pal, jammed with Jimi Hendrix and knew Leonard Cohen. Accompanied by the amazing singer-songwriter Becky Mills, Ashley is touring their show '100 Not Out.'

'100 Not Out' is a musical review of Ashley's remarkable career and celebrates and draws heavily from his 100th album release '100 Not Out.' Expect an enthralling yet relaxed evening of songs, poetry and anecdotes from Hutchings' 60 years in the music business, as well as a showcase of just how good Becky Mills is on guitar and vocals. We'll hear many of Ashley's favourite songs from his repertoire, ranging from 'Crazy Man Michael' to 'Bird on a Wire', plus a number from the songbook of Bob Dylan.

"Ashley Hutchings is the single most important figure in English folk rock. Before that, his group Fairport Convention recorded some of the best versions of my unreleased songs." Bob Dylan April 2015

Opening the evening are Todmorden Folk Festival Youth Music finalists Rebecca Little and Erin Croke. Having been one of the winners of the Youth Competition in 2023, singer songwriter Rebecca played at the Sunday concert at Folk Festival 2024 in her hometown. Erin (violin) studies music at Chetham's School of Music, Manchester and is a founding member of folk duo "Chords and Fiddles." Together Rebecca and Erin have produced an exciting musical collaboration.
