Remembering Lindsay Rimer: A Community Gathering

Saturday 26 October, 1.30pm,
Calder Holmes Park, Hebden Bridge

  • Lindsay Rimer disappeared from Hebden Bridge on 7th November 1994.
  • Her body was found on 12th April 1995 at the locks at Callis.
  • No-one has been charged with her murder.
  • 7 November 2024 marks the 30 year anniversary of her disappearance.

On Saturday 26th October at 1.30pm, Lindsay's family are asking people to come down to Calder Holmes Parkto

They are asking residents of Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Todmorden and surrounding areas, along with anyone (wherever you are) who was affected by her disappearance, murder and police investigation. This is to show how crimes of this nature affect not just the immediate family but ripple out to the wider community.

Last sighting of Lindsay Rimer on the evening of 7 Nov 1994

Lindsay's family and friends will be present and they will be filming this gathering with the help of Kane Clemans (please be aware filming will take place using a drone and photographic stills will be taken from the footage).

They would like to get an idea of how many people will attend, so if you're able to come along please press the going button on this Facebook page.

Over the years, the family say, they have had an incredible amount of support from the people of Hebden Bridge (and beyond) and they're asking for a bit more this year - a big push for information on what happened to Lindsay to coincide with the anniversary of her disappearance.

They have set up this Facebook page for the anniversary and are asking people who knew Lindsay from school (or outside school) to get in touch and share any stories, photos, etc. If you would like to contact the family privately you can do so through this Facebook page.

See this HebWeb feature for more background to the tragic story.
