2025 Bird Calendar
Friday 29 November 2024
Roger O'Doherty has produced his fifth wildlife calendar featuring birds of the Calder Valley. Over the five calendars he has presented dozens of pictures of about 50 different species.
Most of these photos were taken within a few minutes' walk of his home in Mytholmroyd.
Where to buy
The calendars are available at Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd post offices, Gina B's or by direct messaging Roger on Facebook.
Roger told the HebWeb, "This is my fifth local wildlife calendar. I started producing them during lockdown. Although print costs have nearly doubled the price stays at £10, £8 of which goes to charity.
"I want them spread a love of nature and raise funds that will in a small way alleviate needless suffering."
"Repairing the damage to our biodiversity is important," says Roger, "and I hope my calendar encourages people to value what we have and protect it."

More than £10K raised for foodbanks
His previous calendars have raised more than £10,000 for local foodbanks. ALL profit from this one will be divided equally between
Calder Food Support (Charity No 1204752) and
Medical Aid for Palestinians (Charity No. 1045315)

The calendars were given an extra boost when they were praised by wildlife campaigner and TV personality, Chris Packham.
