Calderdale Ecological Land Trust seeks help
Are you enthusiastic about being at the cutting edge of food system change?
Calderdale Ecological Land Trust (CELT) is looking for a new member to join their management group to replace Hannah who has moved on to full time employment. Hannah has said that her voluntary experience with CELT over the last 18 months has proved invaluable in broadening her experience of the voluntary sector, increasing her knowledge of food and farming and working as a team resulting in an improved CV with a wider range of work opportunities.
As well as someone who shares their vision of creating a more localised and planet friendly food system, they are looking for someone with excellent admin skills and organisational abilities who can find their way around Google Docs and spreadsheets. The ability to put an attractive flyer together would also be very useful!
This is an unpaid position. The time commitment will involve one in-person management meeting per month where you will be required to take the minutes and circulation action points to the relevant members of the team. They would also like you to be involved in community engagement events approximately one day per month and contribute to ideas for funding initiatives.
Email your CV
If this is of interest, they would love to know more about you. Please send your CV and any information about your past experiences and future aspirations to caldergrowandgraze@gmail.com.
Calderdale Ecological Land Trust is a Community Benefit Society set up by the Grow and Graze Network with the help of Coop Culture to enable us to own and/or manage land efficiently in the Calder Valley for the purpose of food production alongside nature recovery.
The organisation initially developed as a response to the Covid crisis when there were food shortages and local people were particularly concerned about access to fresh food and vegetables.
