Award-winning British singer-songwriter and guitarist Blair Dunlop is the next headliner at Wadsworth Community Centre.

Blair burst onto the folk scene in 2012 with his debut solo album, Blight & Blossom, which garnered him the 'Horizon Award' at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards along with critical acclaim.

Appearances at Glastonbury and the major Folk Festivals followed, along with breakthrough tours of Australia. Blair, now with 5 albums, 2 EPs and having toured around the globe, is firmly established as a household name amongst respected British songwriters.

"Dunlop is by far one of the finest singer songwriters to appear from these shores in the 21st century. If that wasn't enough, he is also one of the finest guitar players." Americana UK

"From the outside, when listening to the music of Blair Dunlop, you get the impression that though he's something of a natural talent he continues to work hard to progress both his songwriting and musicianship…. you can hear the folk heritage coursing through his veins as well as the originality he brings to the genre." Songwriting Magazine

Moonshine Creek will open the evening with American folk-roots songs with high energy and passion that stirs the emotions. York Press described the band as "American power folk." This experienced three-piece band features local resident David Purcell vocal/ guitar, Aidan Lucas on vocal, mandolin/ fiddle and Mike Tavener on vocal/ bass guitar. Their album, "Songs from a Boxcar Wall" is currently available on Spotify & Amazon Music.
