Sight Support Calderdale
Eyesight problems? There's help available from Sight Support Calderdale.
Sight Support Calderdale is the new name for the Halifax Society for the Blind, which reflects better that it serves Calderdale. You can find them at 7 Southgate Halifax, and their café is open from 10-2pm Monday to Friday.
Sight Centre
They have a sight centre with a range of daily living aids to try, a technology studio with a laptop and desktop with assistive technologies.
Staff can also make home visits, volunteers make regular phone calls to isolated members and there are many social groups and activities, some weekly and some monthly.
