Decorate a Christmas Tree for the Festive Display at St James' Church

You are invited to be a part of St James's Christmas Tree Festival! This is an opportunity to showcase our community's creativity and holiday spirit by contributing a festive tree to the display.

The festival will be held from 13th to 21st December at St James' Church, Church Lane, Hebden Bridge HX7 6DS. Weekend opening times are from 1-3 pm and on weekdays the church will be open from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm.

It is a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate the season with a beautiful and diverse collection of decorated trees.

Organisers are asking individuals, families, schools and local businesses to decorate a Christmas tree for this event. You will be responsible for decorating your own tree. If you have no time to decorate a tree, but would be happy to loan us a tree, they would love to hear from you as they can provide some decorations.

Here's a few things to keep in mind:

  • Theme: A theme of transport although this is not essential. We encourage you to get creative with your decorations and let your tree tell a story.
  • Lighting: You are welcome to add lights to your tree, but as the church has few mains sockets and for safety, please ensure the lights are battery operated.
  • Contribution: No Contribution is requested as your participation is a gift in itself
  • Deadline: Please sign up to contribute a tree by 30th November.
To register your tree or to learn more, please email event@machpelah.uk or speak with David Highley on 07786 319843.

Organisers look forward to seeing your beautiful trees!
