Transport-themed Christmas Tree Festival
The transport-themed Christmas Tree Festival (13th-21st) began with a flying visit from Santa to St James' Parish Church followed by a concert given by Heptonstall Hilltoppers, Shared Harmonies and school children. Children can still visit the grotto and post their letters to Santa.
They are also invited to have a guess at how many different forms of transport is on one particular tree in exchange for a small treat. Transport-themed toys and books are in the play area.
Model locomotives can be admired at the altar along with about 20 trees and the fairy houses in a tree stump outside.
Adults can participate in a raffle for Christmas hampers and a tombola with gifts donated by local businesses and local people.
Plenty of refreshments to be consumed.
