After our repeated attempts to book the Carrivick Sisters for Wadsworth Community Centre, we finally succeeded and they arrive on Saturday 14th March.

One thing that is always evident at a Carrivick Sisters performance is their joy in playing together, their tight sibling harmonies and multi-instrumental virtuosity which delight audiences. The sisters draw inspiration from their passion for traditional American old time and bluegrass music, English folklore and the wide variety of instruments they play: guitars, mandolin, fiddle, banjo and dobro.
After several years trying to set this gig up, the evening will be well worth the wait.
"...it's beneath the surface that the magic is really at work – enchanting stories, myths and legends; a finesse and rich dynamic to their playing, and a sibling magic that surfaces on the interplay of those instruments and blissful harmonies." Folk Radio UK
We have also been lucky enough to lure new bluegrass duo Green Tree to open the evening. With both members hailing from prominent UK bluegrass band Old Baby Mackerel the confidence and musicality these two share with an audience is no surprise. Their set will encompass a range of both traditional and more contemporary bluegrass songs, including the duo's original material, featuring the members' strong voices and love of tight harmonies and their fine instrumentation.
