6th Hebden Bridge Film Festival: 20-22 March

Full Festival Programme

The Hebden Bridge Film Festival has announced the full programme for its 2026 edition, taking place 20–22 March in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Audiences can now explore the line-up and book tickets via the festival website.

This year's programme features 16 feature length films, with several screenings followed by filmmaker and guest Q&As. Many of the films have already received international acclaim, premiering at major festivals including Sundance and Venice, and collecting awards across the global festival circuit.

Reflecting this year's festival theme, "Bearing Witness," the programme brings together films exploring truth, memory and lived experience through powerful storytelling. Highlights include the festival's opening night neo-western film Rebuilding – an exclusive preview ahead of its UK cinema release – starring Josh O'Connor and Meghann Fahy.

Other standout titles include the award-winning intergenerational Palestinian drama All That's Left of You by Cherien Dabis, and the inventive documentary Broken English, celebrating the life and legacy of Marianne Faithfull, followed by a special Q&A with acclaimed singer-songwriter Ed Harcourt.

The programme will also feature two special premieres: the UK premiere of Yurlu | Country and the international premiere of Songs Inside, bringing new films exclusively to Hebden Bridge audiences.

Alongside the feature programme, the Film Festival will also present its selection of shorts, showcasing bold work from emerging filmmakers based in Calderdale and beyond. Beyond the screenings, the festival weekend will also include a series of industry events and workshops, offering opportunities for filmmakers, creatives and audiences alike to connect and explore the craft of filmmaking.

Festival Director Louise Wadley says, "We're incredibly proud of this year's programme.
