Live Ashes at the Trades

Tuesday, 18 August 2009

The Trades Club is getting behind England’s bid to win back the Ashes with live showings of all five days of the final test from the opening ball on Thursday.

All the action from the deciding fifth test at the Oval will be shown on the club’s high definition big screen as Big Freddie Flintoff aims to mark his final test appearance with victory over the old Enemy.

The club’s regular chef Janet Oosthuysen will be providing refreshments throughout all five days including mouth watering meat or veggie bacon and sausage sandwiches.

The club also has Wifi if anyone wants to join in the numerous live messageboards dedicated to cricket lovers who want to vent their fury at either team's performance.

“In such a cricket mad county like Yorkshire it seemed almost sacrilegious not to show the final test of what has already been a very absorbing Ashes series,” says Trades Club spokesperson Paul Clarke.

“Our new high definition big screen is prefect for cricket fans to sit back and enjoy the action over five days whilst sampling Janet’s top quality sarnies in between the action.”
