A team of Calder High Students took over Calder Homes Park for #yourfest on Saturday as part of their work towards a nationally recognised arts award that could help them get into university.

Backed by Hebden Bridge Arts Festival, and sponsored by major local employers Thomson Reuters, the team are working towards Bronze and Silver Arts Awards so one of their tasks was to come up with an event that would showcase local talent.

Calder High Students deliver #yourfestWith the support of experienced producer Rachel Hawthorn, the budding producers put on local duo The Last Minute who were showcasing their forthcoming online EP, an arts tent, henna hand painting, tie dyeing T-shirts and a circus skills workshop.

Arts Festival Artistic Director Helen Meller told the HebWeb, "Although it was part of our festival #yourfest was entirely devised and delivered by this very talented group of young producers who created a fun day that was very professionally produced."
